How it Works
Getting your UK or EU GDPR representative in place is straightforward. Here is what to expect.
Step 1 — Contact us
Tell us which service you need — UK representation, EU representation, or both. Let us know where your business is based, what you do, and roughly how many UK or EU data subjects you process data about. We will confirm which service applies to you and send you a quote.
Step 2 — We send you our representation agreement
We will send you our standard representation agreement — a concise, plain-English document setting out the terms of our appointment. If you are taking the joint UK and EU package, you will receive a single combined agreement covering both.
Step 3 — You sign and pay
Sign electronically and pay the setup fee. Payment is by bank transfer. Plans can be invoices in GBP and EUR.
Step 4 — Designated within 24 hours
We confirm your designation in writing and provide the contact details to include in your privacy notice. You are done. We handle all incoming communications from that point forward.
What we do once appointed
- Act as your named representative in your privacy notice
- Receive and promptly forward correspondence from data subjects
- Receive and promptly forward correspondence from the ICO (UK) or relevant EU supervisory authority
- Maintain a formal record of your designation
- Issue annual renewal confirmation
We do not handle data subject requests on your behalf beyond forwarding them to you, and we do not provide legal advice. Our role is precisely what Article 27 requires — nothing more.
Do I need UK rep, EU rep, or both?
- If your business is outside the UK and has UK customers or users — you likely need UK representation.
- If your business is outside the EU and has EU customers or users — you likely need EU representation.
- If your business is outside both — you probably need both. Our joint package is the most cost-effective way to cover both obligations in a single appointment.
